HANDOVER NEWS: Spectrum Building, Chadwell Heath Block Management UK Ltd have taken over the management the Spectrum Building in Chadwell Heath. This has increased our presence across East London. We have recently taken on the management of the nearby Barking complex in the London Borough of Dagenham and Barking. The Spectrum Building has extremely good views north and south and began life as the offices of the Dupont company when it was built in 1974. The property was converted to accommodate 60 individual residential apartments with a communal roof terrace affording panoramic views towards the city and surrounding areas. It has eight storeys with one passenger lift, a combination of residential units and two commercial units (a gym and a nursery). There are 55 car parking spaces. One of the more pressing initial issues that Block Management UK is addressing is the confusion over remaining funds. In addition, a long list of general maintenance works not being carried out have led to leaks and electrical issues. The property has missed out on regular caretaking and cleaning and there is an issue with dumped items. The building also has a rainwater harvest system and solar array on the roof that will be receiving some needed attention.
