HANDOVER NEWS: The Spectrum, Ipswich Block Management UK Ltd have taken over property management of The Spectrum, on Hadleigh Road, Ipswich. This apartment building stands next to the A1214, a popular route in and out of Ipswich. Formerly, the building was an office block known as Western House before being converted in 2015. The building consists of 50 units arranged over five floors. The building's distinctive, multi-coloured detailing is familiar to those driving west towards the A14. There are 48 car parking spaces, 50 cycle spaces plus motorycle bays. Block Management UK Ltd were brought in by the current residents management company to take over property management. The handover process has now been completed and we have made a series of thorough inspections of the property top to bottom. Our primary focus is to address the absence of some lead flashing from the roof and update the intercom and CCTV systems. Other general maintenance needs include the carpets in communal areas which need a deep down clean. Although the carpets are disappointing, they are still in good condition and it was decided they didn't need replacing. The Spectrum is just across the road from the Grade II listed historic Chantry Park - at 124 acres, the town's largest park- and is walking distance to Ipswich train station.
