James brings over 17 years' experience in residential block management, with deep specialist expertise in Building Safety and regulatory compliance. Most recently, he conceived and built a Block Management Compliance department from the ground up at a leading London agency, taking accountability for health, safety and compliance governance across circa 550 residential buildings including 120 Higher-Risk Buildings under the Building Safety Act 2022. His track record speaks for itself. James has led external facade remediation programmes with a combined project value exceeding £35 million, working with everyone from individual leaseholders to national housebuilders, major freeholders, and Government department directors. He has managed Building Safety Case delivery, engaged directly with the Building Safety Regulator and the London Fire Brigade, and designed compliance monitoring systems that lifted portfolio-wide compliance from around 50% to 96% within twelve months. James holds the CIOB Level 6 Diploma in Building Safety Management, is a Member of The Property Institute (MTPI), and an Associate Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (AssocRICS).
