Independent Age is a 150-year old organisation that offers advice, care and support for older people, their families and carers on issues such as care and support, money and benefits. They provide friendship services to relieve loneliness and isolation. The charity also provides homes for the elderly and we shall be working with them as freeholders on two properties that sit side-by-side in this Essex market town. Our initial focus is on putting together a much-needed budget and some major works needed for the car parking area. This is the first time we have worked with a charitable organization in this way and we are looking forward to maintaining these properties, making life there a pleasant experience for the elderly residents.
